ss racin'
--- Does anyone change their bike set up or anything for racing? Different tires, different gear ratios, anything like that?----
I did my first ss races this season. Didn't change anything, 'cept maybe tires, just showed up w/2:1 and rode. I'm slow and old but even when I suffered I still had a great time commiserating. The ss category usually has the fastest folks of the day (take a look at the course times at the end of the day), and also the most eclectic, interesting, and downright nice folks, too. I got to the point where I just looked upon race day as an organized ss ride with a bunch of new friends.
Show up, warm up well, ride your own race. Dig it.
