Try contacting hope.

Contact hope they are renowned for there customer service. I have three sets of these wheels and they are fantastic (1 singlespeed, 1 moderate xc build and 1 DT 5.1 All Mountain) I believe that they are cartridge bearings on an axle (without cones) It may be a case of changing out the bearings. Which on the front wheel is no big deal. I believe, I've never done these particular hubs, Yet. But I would give them a call first.

Cap replacement video

I looked on the hope website. www.hopetech.com and found this video.

http://www.hopegb.com/page_mep_force_32.html

it shows how to remove and replace the endcaps. That will get you into the bearings and allow you to check that the bearings are seated properly. I think that hope use easily sourced cartridge bearings. MBR this month show how to strip and replace the bearings in the older style style xc hubs. Good luck and let us know how you get on. sanspeur
