I was a single speeder for many years, also rode muni for a long while, then I discovered gears and suspension .. and it's been downhill ever since.

I'm looking for a 120/130-140 bike, so more XC than enduro, but I want aggressive geo similar to my Tilt and Shred Dogg.

I know about the Lenz Milk Money, it's not really what I want, ie old geo.

I saw that Sterling had one that the founder built, not sure if this is a factory model or not.

Frame material is immaterial.

Anything else out there?

That is quite the ride, but that is also quite a hideous thing to behold, so I suspect resale would suck balz

I think it's your turn to be a beta tester, but get a large cuz I want to try ot out before you sell it :ROFLMAO:

If everybody rode one, then we'd all think the bikes we ride now look dumb.

Is it really $3000 USD without a shock?
Oops!

Funk La Ruta. They will customize the geometry and build it singlespeed with Paragon sliders.

Lenz Sport made the Lunch Money for a while, not sure it's still available though? I think I heard recently that he's not going to make them any more.

Wraith has built a variety of steel full suspension bikes, including SS. (see Slapheadmofo's posts) Modern FS single speeds?

Starling- I drooled the first time I saw the Beady Little Eye, until I realized he (initially) only made it in 27.5. If that bike was released as a 29er back then I would already own one. Now I have too many bikes as it is.

Walt- you'll get exactly what you want.

Tensioner on any full suspension bike you please. (I ordered a Reverse Components SS tensioner a while back that I was intending to install on my Kona Hei Hei but never got around to it this year, and now that bikes for sale anyway. 🤷‍♂️)

Lenz is an option if he still does customs.

Walt is also an option and I know he'll do a nice job.

The Starlling is now 29/27+ , so it would work but it's not exactly what I want; ie more designed as an alternative to a hardtail whereas I want an all mountain full suspension bike.

All of these frames come in at a fairly high price, so I'm not in a hurry to drop that much coin. I like the Starling, but at 3k plus shock it's the most expensive and there's no way I'm gonna fiind a demo.

If I wanted to run a tensioner I could do so with the bikes I already have .... hell, I could just keep my bike in the same gear and pretend it's single speed :sneaky:

So yeah, this is one of those N =1 bike things, so I want it my way.

FS SS without a tensioner means finding something with a pivot concentric with the bb, like the Starling.
any FS SS that doesn't need a tensioner will be a concentric or urt design. while both work, they have their drawbacks while actually pedaling...

Yeah, I was going to mention that there are other ways to get around a tensioner, but I don't think there's anyone else putting things together the way Daren at Wraith is.
Good luck getting on the list for one though. :(
