I can purchase a GX rear derailleur w/ a type 3 clutch or an XO1 type 2.1 clutch, the XO1 is slightly higher in cost. My main concern is performance, weight is no concern. GX or Xo1? Thanks.

Type 3 > type 2.1, imho.
Besides, a rear derailleur is considered secondary compared to a shifter in terms of importance for shifting performance

I already purchased an XO1 shifter. I didn't really know too much about SRAM's clutch coming off a Shimano. Lots of mixed reviews for SRAM's roller clutch.
