Nope - The sram X7 trigger shifter is a 9 speed index - will not move the chain far enough to use an 8 speed cassette. You will need to get a 9 speed chain and a 9 speed cassette as well to use those shifters.swoll_929 said:

II will but unfortunately it wont do you any good. craigslist $40 for f/r sram x7 shifters and sram x9 rear deraileur.
