Sram Reba lowers on back order.

Like many other people with the Reba, my wheel is also off centered. Call Sram and they would replace the lowers, all I would have to do is take them to the LBS.The LBS that I deal with just called to informed me that the lowers are 2 months back orders. Sram wants me to send my fork back and wait 2 months for them to replace the lowers. I was prepared for a 3wks a month, but 2months, jeez. I don't know if I'm going to send them back.

Sorry to hear this. I sold mine. Went to Fox.

2 months is a tough wait. I had my lowers replaced, too. The replacements were still off.

Good luck.
feel your pain

I waited 2 months to get new lowers and they were still offset. At least with the replacement set I was able to get my brake installed and adjusted. I have decided to keep until I have had a chance to confirm if I have any issues on the trails once the snow melts and I can hit the trails. Unbelievably frustrating considering the cost of these forks. I bought a Reba XX and a complete SRAM drivetrain for my new Niner Air 9. I was previously a Shimano guy so I feel like a went all in with a conversion to the SRAM drivetrain and now I am questioning the decision.:madman:

similar here I was a Shimano guy (XTR) and had Fox forks all along but tested the SRAM drivetrain and loved it...so go the fork too....bad...QC not there and this happened b4 already with previous models in 2009/10...so looked for a Fox but you cant get a black fork(100mm) how retarded!!! Even though they are on bikes (OEM) I called Fox and asked what would I do if I had a black one and broke it and wanted a replacement, they said call the bike manufacturer!

So I am waiting on my LEFTY!
hmm, didn't realize this was a huge issue. i haven't even checked my RLT fork for this. anyone have pics of this so i know exactly what to inspect on my bike?
Funny, both my '09 Reba Team w/Maxle & '11 Reba RLT Ti w/Maxle don't have this issue.

Guess I am one of the lucky ones.
I have never heard of this before. I would like to see a picture also.

Thanks,
Brian

My 2010 Reba 29er was quite obvious. Looking @ the of the rear of the fork brace and top of tire centerline were offset almost a 1/4"..
This issue has been discussed in great lengths, its on page 4 of the 29er forum if my linky fails. Many pics.

oh thanks for this, i'll check this out. but if it's as obvious as KEEN says, I think I got lucky too.
just to be clear, so are these problems specific to the Maxle version only?

You must rarely be on this forum if you hadn't heard about this.

I got a refund for both sets( luckily) and went Fox.

WOW! I just bought a Reba off of Ebay last week. It looks fine to me but I will look again.
