My buddy bought a set of new take off Guide RSC brakes (2017 model year ?) He purchased an Avid kit as well to re-size / bleed the hoses. We installed the front brake first. Bleeding, caliper alignment & lever feel went w/o mention. A couple spins around the block and though the lever was plenty firm there isn’t much power. I believe the pads are organic but should still have bite. I told him maybe the pads were contaminated @ some point and should be replaced maybe even with sintered? Thoughts. Thanks.

In my experience the OEM SRAM organic pads are rubbish.
SRAM sintered are fine but expensive. My preferred pads are Nukeproof semi-metallic because they work and are quiet when wet.
