I just modified a GX Eagle gripshift to do the job...so much neater than any lever since it complements my XX1 Eagle grip shift on the right

Pretty nifty! What dropper are you running?
Do you roll your hand forward for both the drop and return of the post?
Seems like the twist grip would be a pretty natural motion vs my Reverb where I have to hunt around with my thumb.

it works really well...I roll my hand forward only a little and it releases...obviously for both the drop and the return since the KS Lev seatpost has a spring loaded trigger...like most mechanical seatposts.

I cannot believe more people have not done this , for half the cost of a Wolftooth or similar lever

I wonder if the new shock lockout grip could do the same? It is a little more low profile.

The Rock Shox Twistlock would not work with traditional seatposts since it has 2 fixed positions and not a return spring...and its 90 euros as opposed to 30

Definitely gonna add to my to-do list...

I did this with a front SLX shifter so that they would match on the bars. It's like a 'stealth' dropper lever.
I've got a spare one on my bench that I need to eBay someday.

probably but it does not look like the Sram grip shift I use on the left so it would look odd and out of place...and also you would be modifying a 90 euro grip without any certainty it would work...
