I was thinking of going to the 11-34 cog made by SRAM. The specs say I have a rear SRAM 9.0 cog. What's the cog size for that one? Is it a 12-32? I need help on deciding which to get. Thanks!

They make it in both 32 and 34. The problem with the 34 is the second gear on both are the same, so you have a bigger jump going from 1st to 2nd.

I switched from XTR 12-32 8spd to 9 spd, and the 32 9.0 worked fine. I originally got the 34 thinking it has a lower gear, may as well have it. But I did not like the big jump to second and I discovered I really did not need the 34. I don't know if that answered you question, good luck.

Thanks I took a closer look to my cassette, and its a Shimano cassette. By the way it's a 34. I want to go with the SRAM cassette and SRAM chain in the near future. I think there's no SRAM on the rear cog at all. It's all Shimano. Time for some changes. I have SRAM Rocket triggers 1.1 and they shift great.
