18 months old and stopped working. (not great)

Narrowed it down to the connection between the battery and prongs on derailleur (or something internal)- it's not the battery, or shift controller (no green light on unit itself)

I am curious if anyone knows either how to order that part or if there's a route to get serviced directly with SRAM (I'm first owner, only owner, but don't have receipt, so somehow warranty doesn't apply)

according to their spare parts catalog that's part of the main rd body, so not replaceable. you should try to contact sram they are usually pretty fast answering email.

I would try spraying a little contact cleaner like Deoxit on the battery connection prong and receptacles and see if you get any mileage out of that. What an annoying issue - good luck.
