Thinking of buying a Knolly Warden frame, but its rear dropout is 142 spacing. My rear wheel is Boost 148 spacing with SRAM 900 XD-driver hub. I am hoping to just convert the hub width ($20) and not have to buy a new hub ($240) and re-lace the wheel.

I see SRAM sells a host of end caps for converting their wheelsets between 14 148 and whatever. And they have conversion end caps for the 900 front hub, but I do not see it specifically for the SRAM 900 rear hub.

Anyone have experience converting the SRAM 900 rear hub?
I am thinking of ordering this part just to see if it works, as it fits so many of the other SRAM wheel hubs:

I'm pretty sure you can't go to 142 from a 148 900 hub. They go back and forth between 135 and 142, but not 142 and 148. The 148 hub is build wider to take advantage of the boost spacing.

I'm pretty sure that's the case with the 110 front hub too. The flange spacing is wider on the 110.
