hi got marin mount vision 5.8 (2009) which has had a anoying squeek when appliying power. stripped crank and regreased but still same. not brakes as noise still there with muddy discs. has anyone sufferd and found cause.

sorted:thumbsup: turned out to be bad wheel bearing! not something you would expect from a hope pro2 hub @3 months old! bike is run in wet conditions (no streams or jet wash) just english weather! found by pedaling with bike on stand and pulling chain from both front and rear sprockets. removing rear wheel and spining you can feel rear bearing!! not good but fixed.
