I finally got out to Spruce Knob this past Sunday for a great ride. Started from the Seneca Creek Trailhead on FS 112, climbed to the top, rode Huckleberry out to Judy Springs, descended that and took Seneca Creek Trail back to the car. It was a little wet out there with some snow in spots, and I assume the weather we're having now is going to make it real messy, possibly for the rest of the winter.

Has anyone taken Huckleberry past Judy Springs and ridden Allegheny Mt Trail back to the FS road? That seems like it could be a really cool (and longer) loop.

Some pics from the trip-

There are some great views from the lookout tower up top. This one is looking east with North Fork Mt being the closest ridge and Shenandoah Mt the next

Whispering Spruce Trail heads off the summit with some great views

The intersection of Huckleberry and Lumberjack. Things turn quickly downhill from here

Cool view on Judy Springs Trail. I'm pretty sure this is just prior to where the IMBA Epic pic for this ride was taken

Sorry I don't have more of the technical singletrack pictures. Sometimes I'm having too much fun on that stuff to stop and take a pic.
