The high winds/warm temps have dried out some of the trail but semi-melted the snow in other places making it dry/snowy/muddy. I rode up CR67 (no prob, clean tires), went right at the top junction of North/South Springbrook Loops...my tires were clean after getting out of the trees and down to the bottom junction.

Then the mud happened. By the time I was at the junction of the spur to Springbrook and Doudy it was mud city. A guy coming off upper Doudy said it was a mudpie there as well.
The day felt like a mid-March day, warm, kinda wet and muddy, hardly any wind...anything but January 1. Anybody who's moved here in the last few months, this doesn't really seem normal, enjoy it while it lasts.
