This past Sunday, while riding at Sprain Ridge (Yonkers, NY) I decided to take some video with my iPhone (3GS). I just balanced the phone on rocks/logs/tree branches and rode past it a bunch of times. Over the past few days I spliced the footage into a super low-tech, low-budget video that I think is pretty ok. Anyway, enjoy!

I like the end with the set ups.

Where's that roller? On the down hill side of the Fire Road?
Thanks man. I like the set up stuff too. I think I could have taken out some of the walking around footage but it's ok. I hate editing in Quicktime Pro.

When you are at the bottom of the roller you can see some type of building through the woods to the left of the trail. here's where I think I was. I think all of the footage was taken in this area of Boyce Run. It might have been on South Loop though... not sure...

awesome video>>i ride sprain all the time and recognized a lot of those spots! great editing..
Awesome; thanks man! It's a mellow video. I'm not that hard core or else there'd be sick jumps etc. I was also limited to where I could set the phone where it wouldn't fall over. I wanted to film some sections but just couldn't find anywhere to put the phone.

Yep.

Yep. Not the new iPhone but the last version; the 3GS. Initially, I planned to capture, edit and publish to the web using only my iphone. I thought that'd be a cool challenge. But after I realized there weren't any good editing apps for my 3GS I chucked that idea and just used Quicktime Pro.

Still, I think the video quality is acceptable (for a phone!).

It takes a lot of extra work setting up the camera, riding and editing for a movie like this... thanks for the extra effort and sharing the video

Matt
It took about 10 hours of editing all together. I had never used Quicktime Pro before so I had to figure out how the hell to work it. Then once I had it figured out, I got knit-picky and then I got frutrated and then I got pissed and then I got it done lol. I miss Windows Movie Maker. Much easier to use.
