I was up on loma alta and big rock ridge early sunday morning, and got a nice view of the snowcapped sierra. nice perk of clear, cold winter days. no camera, but trust me, they were there. pretty awesome.

anyone else spotting the mountains lately?

with mornings down around 30 deg. and rain predicted tonight, maybe we'll see some snow closer to home tomorrow.

edit: i suppose this is less impressive to those of you who actually live in the mountains.

I was on top of Loma Alta at around 3pm Sunday... it was still very clear, but couldn't see the Sierra. Diablo looked pretty good though.

The trails off of Loma were excellent.

Yesterday

My daughter and I could see Mt Diablo to the Southwest and the beautiful snow capped sierras to the east from the hill next to my house. Stunning!
