I'm loving the split clamp of my "Gold Finger" lever but it's not for a V-brake. I like it because I can set the lever anywhere on the bar regardless of bend (I'm running chopped Mary's)

The drawback of course is that the braking performance is pretty crappy. I've got the brake pads set very close to the rim and I can lock up the back wheel if I yank the lever all the way to the bar. Not the best solution though.

I've considered the problem solver but this is on my polo bike and I'd like to keep all the extra doo-dads to a minimum as they tend to get broken pretty quickly.

Does anyone know of a split clamp lever for V's? Aside from the Avid ultimate?

Is there any way to modify the clamp to turn it into a V-brake lever?
