Been looking at some bikes and Spectral has been one of them - now with 29er out I wonder if it is still worth purchasing 27.5 - looking to see if anyone had experience with one or the other, or maybe both.

I have a spectral 5 and I love the bike. Only small issue is a noisy bottom bracket bearing and a slightly rough dropper post.

A 27.5” wheeled bike is perfectly capable of riding any terrain that has ever been ridden.

I like 29ers too, but they are by no means necessary. I prefer my 27.5 bike for a lot of things.

I prefer my 27.5's over my 29er's majority of the time.

I really like my 27.5 Stumpjumper for tight twisty trails. However I was pleased to find my 29 Jumper is very nimble with shorter wheelbase. Removing the Horst Link simplified the rear and it climbs better than my 27.5 with Horst Link. I have hardly touched the 27.5 after getting to know th 29.
