I have been struggaling on buying a new Enduro from by LBS or from Ebay. The ebay is a 04 Enduro and the seller tells me that he will give me all the manuals and the warranty card not written on. I talked to a specialized store and they tell my they look for the actuall receipt to honor life long warranty on the Frame. I should have ask, "how come there is the Warranty card if they are looking for the actual receipt of the purchase?". Which is it? I really like the savings on ebay, however I would regret missing out on the life long warranty.

The bike has to be purchased from an authorized specialized dealer for them to honor the warranty. I have no idea why they need a warranty card if they look at the receipt. Don't buy used or off ebay if you want the warranty.
