I was trying to find out the difference btw the frames of the giant and specialized:

Correct me if I am wrong:

The specialized m4 is pretty much the same as the giant aluxx

And the m5 is similar to the aluxx sl

By similar I am talking about weight and strength.

I really don't know the answer to your question, but if you're deciding between both bikes, don't pay which type of aluminium they have, rather focus on ride quality and fit.

Yeah I would but the reason I ask is because
the giant xtc2 frame is aluxx sl for $650
the specialized stumpjumper is $1200.

Big diff. In price
I know the parts are better on the stumpy, but I am questioning the frame....
