Out of these two bikes which one would offer an all around better ride? I have test ridden these two only in the parking lot so I don't know how they do on actual trails. Does anyone have experience with either of these two? They are about the same price and components are comparable so it all comes down the frame and how they ride.

Both are very comparable - same price point for the most part. Are you newer to mountain bikes? If you are, keep it simple. Two things to consider if you really don't have preferences as far as the specs or brands: 1) Which bike feels better as far as the ride? and 2) Which bike shifts and brakes better. Number two is kinda a wash because it could really come down to who put it together...the type of store/shop and who it was. However, each bike has their own feel as far as the ride. The shifting and braking should be noticabley different as far as the two different set ups. Shimano/Avid and SRAM/Hayes.

Not really that new but I have never taken either one of them out on a trail so that's why I'm trying to get the opinions of others who have own or owned either one of them or who have taken them out on actual trails. .
