Just curious if it's around 35lbs or so???

Yikes...there goes that idea. So here's what I'm thinking. I want to pick up a bike to ride xc on, something to go out and clock some miles with my dog, burn my gut off, be able to jump with, ride Rays MTB park in the winter, but still enjoy everything on. I've got my big bike, now I'm looking for a "everything else bike". I don't think I really want a hardtail, I was thinking something along the lines of a mid 30's, 5 inch coil sprung ride. I've got a hookup from someone for doing some bike related things for them and they have acess to Specialized and Trek... I also can score a Transition preston, but the discount is only 20% which is nothing compared to my other hook up. I looked on the sites, and nothing looks appealing except those enduro trail's...but 40+ lbs is just too much, I was hoping to build something in the mid to low 30's.

look at one of the other enduros....like the enduro expert or something. set it up with a coil shock instead. or go for the preston. both will do well for basically anything....
Yeah man, I got my Enduro Elite for exactly the reasons you mention. I do XC on it all the time, hit the dirt jumps, urban, northshore style stuff, etc. You won't want to do 15 foot hucks, but it'll take beating for sure.
get a heckler
my SXT1 weighs about 38lbs, but i have spent alot in upgrades to get it there. It is a great freeride bike, but i would never xc it. Like others have said, get a regular enduro and put a coil on it if that is really what you want. The Enduros have a different geometry than the SX does too, better for xc riding.
get an expert. the SX Trails are overkill for xc and some other stuff. Infact, a reuglar 4.2 inch travel SX will do you well.

Reamer, we carry both of those brands. I'd go with the Enduro if it wasn't for the proprietary shock deal...so I went with a Nomad. The Trek Remedy wasn't available yet, but I think that bike is a real contender to the Enduro. They're easily built in the 32-34 pound range. Try to get a ride on one, and I think you might be surprised.
40.3 Stock Medium SX trail one
36.6 after mods

I have my small frame 06 S-works enduro with PIKE 454 fork and Crossmax XL atlas cranks etc... to 30lbs. Godd reasonable price strong component specs, suits me perfect.

Josh the ODH guys have them ask 'em. Scott Lowrey, Watts etc..
I tossed a small Enduro Expert on the scales at the shop and it came in at 35 and change.
yo reamer....why do you keep asking all these questions.....you just got a bike

I'm looking at picking up a AM bike for xc, some dirt jumping, and rays mtb park this winter. I'm looking at picking up a short travel bike. I was seriously looking at the transition bottle rocket but it's pretty pricey for what it is. I love my faith, but it's for going down lol...I need something for excersize now.

You'd get alot more exersise riding a faith around than a enduro:madman:
Consider more of a 4X bike. I have an S-works Enduro and I don't like it. It's got a 36/DHX Air. It feels like a pig on the way up and sketchy on the way down. I say either get a light, low travel, quick bike or get a big bike. No use in having something in the middle and a big bike.

Consider the Specialized SX (the 4" one), a Commencal Meta 4X, etc. My .02. These bikes are just so damn fun!
