not even close, try closer to 42lbs.
Yikes...there goes that idea. So here's what I'm thinking. I want to pick up a bike to ride xc on, something to go out and clock some miles with my dog, burn my gut off, be able to jump with, ride Rays MTB park in the winter, but still enjoy everything on. I've got my big bike, now I'm looking for a "everything else bike". I don't think I really want a hardtail, I was thinking something along the lines of a mid 30's, 5 inch coil sprung ride. I've got a hookup from someone for doing some bike related things for them and they have acess to Specialized and Trek... I also can score a Transition preston, but the discount is only 20% which is nothing compared to my other hook up. I looked on the sites, and nothing looks appealing except those enduro trail's...but 40+ lbs is just too much, I was hoping to build something in the mid to low 30's.ebfreerider510 said:40 pounds or so i would think....the sxt2 is sub 40 probably with the 36
look at one of the other enduros....like the enduro expert or something. set it up with a coil shock instead. or go for the preston. both will do well for basically anything....Reamer said:Yikes...there goes that idea. Reamer, we carry both of those brands. I'd go with the Enduro if it wasn't for the proprietary shock deal...so I went with a Nomad. The Trek Remedy wasn't available yet, but I think that bike is a real contender to the Enduro. They're easily built in the 32-34 pound range. Try to get a ride on one, and I think you might be surprised.Reamer said:Yikes...there goes that idea. So here's what I'm thinking. Josh the ODH guys have them ask 'em. Scott Lowrey, Watts etc..Reamer said:Anyone out there have a stock Specialized enduro trail 1? Or anyone work in a shop with a scale that has this bike?
Just curious if it's around 35lbs or so???
I'm looking at picking up a AM bike for xc, some dirt jumping, and rays mtb park this winter. I'm looking at picking up a short travel bike. I was seriously looking at the transition bottle rocket but it's pretty pricey for what it is. I love my faith, but it's for going down lol...I need something for excersize now.:thumbsup:SHIVER ME TIMBERS said:yo reamer....why do you keep asking all these questions.....you just got a bike
You'd get alot more exersise riding a faith around than a enduro:madman:Reamer said:I'm looking at picking up a AM bike for xc, some dirt jumping, and rays mtb park this winter.
