Speaking of Scotts & Becoming A Weight Weenie

560 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Rumpfy
While I'm visiting...thought I'd share a project that's getting close to being done...my first weight weenie bike.

Not too many Scott Strikes make it State side...so I thought this was a nice foundation for a light weight 3 and 3 full sussy. One of my buddies turned me on to it.

I'm trying to go as light as I can without breaking the bank or losing usability. I'll make sure to share the final product.

Nice, but its very obvious you're not a regular here.
Your picture shows a bike with, what appears to be, a quick release on the seatpost.

Go and get yourself a titanium bolt to fix that crime. :D

And that seat won't help either:)
how do you mount a front deralliur??
Hahaha! :)

Now I know I'm a total rookie! :p

The seat has been ditched for something lighter already.

The seatpost binder is what came with the frame when I bought it....Its actually pretty light, but I suppose I could replace it with a ti bolt.
