My wife gave up mtbing 3 kids ago, our youngest is finally old enough for the babysitter to watch, the other 2 have gone with me a few times, and mom is ready to roll! I've been ssing the past year and she is intrigued with not having to worry about shifting and the fact that it's expected that you'll walk some, and she will mostly be riding with the kids for a while, but she said that maybe if i could find a bike for her that would be a cool xmas gift, and maybe "if i could find a pink one" that would be really cool! little did she know! so, if anyone knows of one available let me know, might even fit a medium if i had to...

It's almost impossible to find, I looked and looked myself and gave up. Not too many originally made and those who have them aren't too keen on giving them up.
However, you should try the Bianchi Puss...standard pink color and a single speed frame.

Or, just buy a normal one and get it powdercoated pink. I'm fairly sure you can get a new decal kit from Surly. I found a powdercoater that'll do frames, (strip AND paint) for around $30. I'm picking up my Trek tomorrow so I'll keep people posted on the quality if there's an interest...

good ideas, however, i've sworn off aluminum it's just too harsh for me, and the price is pretty high for that frame, i like the powdercoating, that might work for me if i find a cheepie frame. thanks

I saw one Saturday....

Call Bicycle Sport Shop in Austin, TX (512) 477-3472. I was in there on Saturday. I think it is a size small. It was built up with a really nice parts spec. Call them and see if you can work it out. Good Luck!

thanks, i called, they have it blinged out for 1400, but were willing to strip it and ship it for @ $650 which is too rich for me, but maybe someone else will want it. by the way, the shop people were pretty cool
