Southern Arizona winter passion.

So this past Saturday we decided to have a little fundraiser for our beloved Arizona Trail to drum up some dough for more trail work. The day started off a chilli 50 degrees for the 25 of us who signed up for the 40 mile shuttle but once the sun broke through the clouds we were in for a real treat. This was to be my furthest ride yet on the rigid ss so a was a little nervous about being able to finish taken I bailed 23 miles into my last long ride. After finding a pace that suited me, plugging away in the warm 70 degree sun filled day, draining through 150oz of water I was able to pull up to the finishing bbq just a short 6hrs from my departure still feeling strong and craving a cold beer. Here are a few pics from the first half of the ride but then became to preoccupied with finishing to take anymore.

sikwoodbiker, I'd like to come down from Flagstaff and ride that section of the AZ Trail. Can you tell me where you started and ended the ride?

We started the ride at Box Canyon and finished at the Pistol Hill rd trailhead.
