Good to see you made it back!I personally will not cross the border with anything.I know of people who got ripped off down there, one in particular his cousin lost his life!Back in the day,I use to take my quad down there to ride the dunes between T.J. and Rosarito beach,no more!Glad you had a good time, just keep in mind for future reference,if you think the economy is bad here, its that much worse there.Alot of hungry, desperate people down there.Nice pics...

Thanks, but I was really just being humerous in my original post from the Colorado forum--the border we crossed is the El Paso County/Pueblo County (Colorado) border. Then again, Pueblo IS getting kinda sketchy lately...maybe we were lucky to make it back!

Wow, that is amazingly racist and close minded. Mexico, I am sure, is glad you don't go.

Racist? You must be reading things between the lines that I don't see.

K, looks like a very fun and challenging place to ride, thanks for the pics.

So it is racist and close minded to say that crime is bad in Mexico ( which is an understatement) and that he doesnt recommend people going there? I was shaken down there as well, by police officer who emptied my wallet and told me to go home, ******. Crime and corruption is rampant in Mexico.

Back on topic -

OP, you got me a little confused too, but sweet ride pics! hope to be riding out that way this summer.

You should go out more. There is not as much hungry, desperate people down here as you think. :skep:
I did not mean to stir the pot,and I am not racist! My wifes parents are from Sinaloa,Mexico,my son is half and I visit places like Mazatlan every year.Even there,I do not even wear a watch, but I love the place!Just sayin....

lol. Well not precisely as you put it but still I agree with the fact that you shouldn't come to Mexico unless really, really necessary.
Tourists Will get ripped, assaulted, murdered or even worst down here in Tijuana,
everyone, but specially tourists have to be specially careful about the Police.
Also there are a lot of kidnapping going around every day, and the people that doit are becoming as sadistic as the Drug Cartels,
it is getting quite bad.
So I always tell people on the net, 'Please, DON'T visit Tijuana'.

I don't have a job right now, and I'm finding it difficult to get one given the circumstances, but I don't go out and steal from people,
or resort to crime so I can eat; what I'm trying to say is that it is not that people are desperate,
it just became a sick country, bad people do bad things; resourceful people don't.

LOL, this was funny to see. It's a statistical fact that parts of Mexico are dangerous, especially Tijuana. Not to mention he personally knew someone that lost a loved one due to the conditions Is all of Mexico dangerous? No. So someone saying don't go to an area because it's dangerous is racist? So if I tell you don't go to Afghanistan or Iraq, I'm racist against Muslims? And if I tell you that I avoid areas in my town because they are dangerous, does that make me racist to those people that live there? I'm sorry to get off topic from the OP, but it's accusatory statements like that which contribute to a lot of racial problems in this county. And statements like the one you made perpetuate them.

This is a great website full of great people. I for one look forward to the wealth of pictures and stories. And despite your comment, I still enjoyed this post. Especially the pun "Pueblo rocks"! And for the record, I'm not attacking you personally, only the implication made by your statement.

*END RANT*

Now onto better things..great pics! Those rocks look pretty gnarly. It might almost be lethal to take a spill there. Lots and lots of sharpness.

He's not racist, just a pu$$Y.
Good old Colorado- something for everyone! Those are some nice trails. Glad you guys wore armor- those rock edges can be sharp.
They wear armor because they are puussies...
Or maybe because they are adults and have to show up for work on Mondays?
Nah. They're just pu$$ies. Especially that one in the orange hat.
How in the hell is that racist? I tell people not to ride their bikes through some of the fields that our local trails connect to because the hillbilly farmers will shoot at them, and i'm probably the biggest ******* on this forum.

the racist talk is over - talk has now switched to calling people pu$$ies.
Sorry I derailed your thread.

I think the statement about glad you made it back and the education that follows it smacks of elitism. The frontera is rough, yes, but that is the fault of the US and its habits. The rest of the country is beautiful with nice people and few problems.

I have spent a lot of time in Mexico and have never had a problem, in Tijuana, Juarez, Mexcio D.F. or anywhere else. The people that do have problems lack humility and fail to look around. I wouldn't wear a gold watch in any third world country, just like I dont flash cash around.

You dont have to call someone a name to be racist, you have to think you are better just based on your color and the statement comes across that way. I hope you are not racist, but a lot of people are, I get to feel it every day and it sucks. All of the people that choose to treat me and my family like sh1t will say that they are not racist.
I guess anyone who lives where I do would see it differently.
It would be amazing if we could have a conversation about this and not some flame war, I am truly interested and not picking a fight.

Wish I could go ride my bike.
