Anyone know the conditions of the Sourlands as of late? I know the place stays wet usually, I was thinking about heading there either wednesday or this weekend...

I was there last Tuesday and it was in good condition with the usual slick spots, but I haven't been back since last Wed's rain. I live close by and it didn't rain last night so I would assume that aside from last weeks rain (and if the area escaped yesterday's storms) the trails should be in good shape. But keep a look out for any storms later today.
How many miles of trails are there now? Is it correct that a few new trails have been cut?

sounds good - thanks for the info.

i'll do my anti-rain dance in my chair at work to ward off any storms this afternoon.

i was just talking to a friend of mine about the total distance there... there are a couple new-ish trails (new if you havent been there in a while) that were blazed. i think you can pull about 5, maybe six miles total out of the place. its technical, so i usually stop and try some of the harder spots over and over until i am too beat up or until i get over/past them.

Thanks. I rode there maybe 5 years ago, and it took probably an hour. It would be nice of there were some new trails but it's not like you can bomb down these trails anyway. This isn't too far from 6 Mile Run, right?
