So over the years I have built many bikes. I always post them here. The pictures are always before I ride them. Nice and clean in the driveway. My last 2 builds mikesee gave me crap about the garage pics:madman: . So these are the first pics of my Leviathan(as a complete build) . There ya go mikesee! Dirty pictures:thumbsup: !
As for the build I won't bore you. It has nice parts and its 26lbs 3oz...
I am super happy with this bike! It does everything I wanted and then some. I have roughly 30 hrs on it so far and no complaints.

See--that looks really nice and compliments the dirty pics swimmingly...!

IMO you gotta keep the ratio of on-dirt to garage queen/clean pics at least 3:1 or better...

Oh yeah--what trail is pictured?

Now that is one sharp looking bike  I dig matte black and without any DT or rim decals it looks even nicer - super stealth. Was it a custom job paint/finish wise and did you ask for no decals? Another ? for you Hugh ..... Do you have enough post into the frame there? :eekster: looks like a lot of post out of frame. Oh and what size frame?

Thanks for the comments on the bike. The finish is stock. It's sand blasted then anodized black. All i did was to romove the decals. As for the seat post, there is more than enough in the frame. It's a 410mm(16.14in.) post. The max extension line is 2 inches below the seat clamp. Im 6ft tall with a 36in inseam(legs for days) and short upper body. The frame is a large and fits me perfect:thumbsup: The XL would have been a longer wheelbase, less standover, and the main problem was that the top tube would have been roughly an inch too long for me:nono: .

One more thing... This bike has exceeded all my expectations!

:eekster: Wow, that's a long inseam for a 6fter  I can totaly agree with the choice of a L frame for your build. Although I would argue that you're closer to having the MAXX mark about <1/2" below the top of the ST, unless of course there's a different line on the 27.2 posts compared to the 30.9 - I have a 30.9 x 410 and the min insertion is 100mm. Totally diggin the finish, looks a lot like my PCd black HT frame. Have had thoughts of stripping the RIP9 and getting it flat black PCd.

Nice to hear

I've just gone for a XL 'Moth. I'm coming from a RIP 9 (ETT 25.25) and realised (with a call to Devin) Niner use longer ETT's than most. If I went by TT alone to match my RIP I would have been on a XXL Lenz...:nono:

Funny you said that because I pulled the seatpost about 5 minutes before I answered your questions just to take measurements :D 30.9 might be different but I dont know...

I trust ya ;) :D Wasn't trying to be a smart a$$ or anything, just looks like there's a load of post out and when I pulled it into P'shop and measured using the bend to clamp distance it indicated it would be close on mine. Either way still a sweet as hell, stealth ride.

John! I missed ya last weekend. I was even packin a shock pump just incase we met up so I could set the Leviathan to your liking. Next time.....
LyNx, 2 things. I'm from Dominica! I have two uncles that live in Barbados. The other thing is i pulled the post again and the excact measurementis 1 3/4inches from the clamp to the max line. Was not taking this as smart ass comment. I think its good so if someone is in my situation they have excact answers:thumbsup: .

Cool ;) If you're ever down here look me up and I'll gladly hook you up with a bike so you enjoy the few trails we have here.Right now riding sucks as we are still getting heavy rains every couple weeks, they have been s bad that they have totally destroyed about 25% of my fav trail :( So when i eventually decides to stop I have to get on there and do some serious trail clearing and re-routing.
