I am visiting some friends in Los Angeles and San Diego from September 16 to 26th. I am bringing my bike and would really like to blaze some trails with some fellow riders. Cross Country, Downhill, or Free Ride, it doesn't matter, I just want to get out there.

Any one up for a ride? Or at the very least, some advice about trails in the LA and/or SD area?

If you check out other posts, you will see him pretty active with mtbr. He has good info on area trails. If you are also an equal opportunity rider (will ride a road ride ocasionally), there is also the Rosarito to Ensenada 50 mile road ride on Sept 25th. It is a good, casual fun where you can stop a couple of times to have a margartia, beer, bloddy mary, etc. during the ride.

LA is a big place. Where in LA will you be staying?

September 25/26 is also the Hurkey Creek 24 hour race weekend where you can hang out with over 1,000 other mountain bikers.

Check out these local club sites for rides. Some will be faster and some will be slower. Ask around.
