Has anyone heard any details about the MTB DH park being built in Valley Center, CA? Its being built by Global Action Sports Solutions.

Is this the same project that was announced by SDMBA that was on Native American Land?

If you go to @globalactionsportssolutions IG there is a teaser post about it from 4 days ago. http://instagr.am/p/CYfkryiLwsi/
Stoke Level is High for this!

I assume it is the same project. Would be cool for you guys not to have to drive up to Big Bear.

I wonder if they will shuttle riders to the top like at Coast Gravity Park.
Looks like all they build are wide dirt sidewalks. IMBA would be proud!

Says green climb. I wouldn’t expect big drops or ruts, or rock gardens on a beginner CLIMB.

I was going to reply with the same... but looking at their insta acct it might be a good assessment.
I love flow trails! :D
Flow trails are better then no trails, but....

Take a lap...I can read lol. Go look at their IG. You'll see that all they post is pics of sidewalks. Surely...hopefully.... they know how to build fun technical trail and challenging features as well. Assuming they do, why not share some pics of those?

A main draw for working with Tribes or private landowners is being able to build bike specific trails with advanced features that other land managers in Socal won't allow. Sure, have a flow trail or three, but don't build all flow trails. That would be a huge missed opportunity.

All that was posted here was the one image. My old ass doesn’t do instgram or snapchat or Facebook or Tic Tock. You get the point.
I don't think our purpose for building on an a tribes land matters. It's what they want by allowing us to use their land. I would guess that having trails that are fun for the largest percentage of riders will suit their purpose better than whatever it is we all think would be ideal. Focus on the up side, another new riding spot that will probably be pretty fun even if it's not whistler - and riding it supports one of our local tribes.

Looks like these guys are the builders of the Bentonville trails? We'll get more info soon.

Too smooth and mellow? Just head up north to Greer ;)

I wish. Everyday there's a traffic advisory from Big Bear to the bottom of 330.

Don't worry, you can't build sidewalk flow trails in So Cal without an irrigation system on that type of dirt. Whatever is built will be skidded, ridden around, hiked up, sanitized, washed away and or turn to epic tech chunk in one season. Especially a bike park with higher volume. So either they find a "Gabe" level or "Trail Tap" level mason/rock builder and keep them on the payroll or it will turn into some pretty blown out tech with 17 ride arounds.

Hopefully it is built to a beginner to intermediate level with a nice food and dining area at the bottom with cold drinks and good tacos.

I saw on another forum that Mt High has submitted a plan to build mtb trails for summer operation. The more chairlift riding, the merrier.

I wonder how much a year round, bare bones, well maintained bike park could potentially make during the current bike boom we are experiencing. Kinda like Spider Mountain in Texas for example. San Diego is the perfect location for something like that with our perpetual sunshine. I bet theres a lot of doll hairs to be made if they pull this off correctly.

There is a crap ton of great trails up there in Wrightwood already. You just need to be willing to climb to get to the good stuff. I ride it fairly often and enjoy climbing so it is fun for me. And it’s free.

Ask skypark haha

If vail puts in a shuttle service that’ll be good too

And the La Jolla reservation will hopefully have a shuttle or lift
