Now, he just shrugs and says "viva Espana, I guess". He says his esposa early on called it Spain in the finals so, score one for her.

This will be my big chance to see if seeing the world's best square off doesn't put me to sleep.

There's something just plain wrong about a game where you can't use your hands. I play basketball, used to be a star ultimate frisbee player (a legend in my own mind, let's say). It's not the athleticism of the players involved, it's just the game itself. Sorry.

Spain, Italy and England have equally good leagues IMHO in terms of the best teams. But the English league is by far and away the most exciting, fastest pace, the most physical and is devoid of diving and play acting unlike the Spanish and Italian leagues. As for the WC final Spain play pretty football but lack a cutting edge but they really pressed Germany hard and stopped them playing in the semi. I think they will win 1-0 again.
