I run 1x9 and was looking for a new crankset......

All with no bb or rings...

I think you scale is off, or you got an very light set, as mine weigh 611 for the crankarms and preload bolt. But yeah, they're about the same weight as XT.
Is yours the version with the steel pedal inserts perhaps?

Nope, triple ring version.
Is the granny ring on the SLX steel? It looks like it is because it is drilled out and usually manufacturers don't drill out Aluminum rings.
This isn't unusual for shimano. A few years ago the first generation hollowtech cranks after it trickled down past XTR, the Deore level cranks were lighter than the XTs at 1/4 the price tag.

It is. Replacing it with one from XT saves about 30g IIRC.
