in the original retail display box, with manuals, cables, housing, all baged still... as part of a offer to get me to part with one of my spare new megaairs. But I don't use shimano thumbies myself (suntour junkie). Anyone on here dying for a set? I'm debating if I should ebay 'em or not.

I would ebay them. I paid $80 for mine a few months ago, in the same condition you describe, if that helps. :(

I'd be glad to buy them if they are the 6-speed version. I'm trying to finish my x-frame buildup with full ~1987 vintage M730 drivetrain.
What all do you need? There's a shop near me (in downtown San Francisco) that has a full M730 SIS conversion kit in the box unused. (or least they had it a month ago) The package is the original box, and has the shifters, rear derailler, cassette, and chain. I was going to buy it but they wanted too much for it - I think I talked them down to $150 from their $175 asking price, but then decided that was still way more than I wanted to pay.

But if price is no matter, and you're interested...

cool

Hi, actually that's exactly what I need. I already have a cassette but a spare would be fine. I could not email you, if you would contact me when you have a minute I would appreciate it.

I should have been more specific, they're the Deore XT-II, 21 speed with the extra click (well, almost all shimano thumbies had the bonus clicks, the 6sp ones had them, so did the 7s, and I sometimes wonder if the 9speed bar-cons have an extra click too). I watched a pair (same setup, complete in box/bags) go on ebay for well north of $120US only 2 or 3 weeks ago, so they're pretty heavily demanded still (though not by me).
