Wrenchmonkey and I just had to get out and play in the fresh snow this weekend. It's so rare we get it at sea level, so you have to make the most of it while it lasts.
The snow was a couple of inches thick and powdery. Traction was actually pretty good. Good enough to allow for some log riding and jumps.
Wrenchmonkey has the better camera.
Hopefully he can add the action shots soon.
We tried riding tha same trail as last weekend but the snow was just too thick in the clearcut. So we rode in the park. It was still three inches or so and a good work out. Not so powdery as last week. We made it up to the top of the hill and then turned around and retraced our steps. No log riding today.
We saw tracks of a couple of hikers, and a hunter stalking a deer. As well as various wildlife, including a Coyote or dog.
I left for Northern Cali yesterday (why I didn't show up to ride today), and all we're getting is rain. Hope to get out and hit the local dirt tomorrow in the rain.
Milt HAD to be the camera guy as I don't see him in the pictures. Don't tell me he's retired since he rode that skinny?
