Hi All,

I'm wondering if I could get some help. I had some of the hardware from my lower link "disappear" itself. This my fault as I apparently didn't check that it was tight frequently enough.

The issue is Intense hasn't had replacements in stock since it happened in October and they frankly have zero idea of when it will be in stock (I've learned this the hard way). I asked them if they could source this from a local machine shop or release the drawings to me and I could do the work. They said no and that they were going to wait for the parts from overseas. Lame! I'd be happy to pay to premium for a machine shop to do it as we are mid-way through our riding season out here in the desert of AZ.

My question is, does anyone happen to have a spare or an idea of how I could get back riding again?

Thanks and I appreciate the help,
Kyle

oh man, that really sucks....

What parts are you specifically missing? 8, 10, 7?

It looks like quite a few of their bikes have a simlar architecture, there might be a small chance another one of their bikes shares a similar axle? You would probably need to bug them quite a bit to get someone to actaully check.

It looks like #7 and #8 look simple enough to machine. #8 is just a screw with a fat head, #7 is a 15mm axle. You would need to know the exact length of #7, and machine some flats on the drive side end so you can hold it with a wrench.

or... best case senario: another model has a very simular axle, but slightly longer. Then all you would need to do is turn down the length in a lathe (or just cut it with a hacksaw).

are you sure you are missing #26? The entire bearing fell out???

I there there is a high likelihood that you could find those parts on a different model (the bearing for sure), I tried searching a few documents, but I don't think intense uses the same part number scheme across frames.

You can try asking them directly if there is a compatible part. Hopefully, they care enough to look it up for you.

The bill of materials calls out #8 as a 10mm shoulder bolt. If that is the case, you might just be able to substitute a M10 screw:

Yeah while it sucks, I guess they can't give you the specs, would be more of if something happens 'You gave me the specs but now becasue I'm a numpty at the tools, or my bro is, the frame is now ruined, you have to give me a new one". Not saying you would do this, but there are plenty of numpties out there.

You say you're missing 8, 26 and 10. But those are the non drive side parts. Your pic is drive side, I don't see the bolt head, so what about 7?
I guess your pivot axle may have been installed from the other side.
Also, if your bearing is still there, then #10 should be there.
Double check it all, but I have an upper link hardware kit I bought a while back from a shock bolt getting lost from my son's bike. I think all I used was one of the bolts, and I still have everything else, which would include a 7 and 8.
So double check what you have and don't have and let us know, but I can likely help you out with at least the pivot axle bolts.

Sorry, no help to add, but truly ridiculous that Intense can’t be of any more help here on a bike that is currently in the catalog. Guess I got lucky when I cracked my lower link and they happened to have them in stock.

+1 for McMaster, you can get just about any hardware you need shipped next day (or same day if you live near their warehouse). but I would get a low profile socket head screw just to make sure there's no clearance issues with the chainring. You should be able to find a spacer in that size as well.

You don't need drawings to have a machine shop make this for you. Just bring them the bike and show them what you need. Just be aware, it won't be cheap since it'll be a one-off.

You could also check Up Work and Fiverr for anyone close to you looking for a quick side job.

Kyle...this what you need? Off a 2019 Intense Sniper. Don't know if it is all there or not, but it was somewhat loose so I replaced it before giving the bike to my great nephew. In other words it works, but may have a tad of wiggle.

Hi Daniel, yes, ugh, the entire bearing fell out. The shoulder bolt fell off during a ride and it all must have popped out quickly on that side.

Hi Raker, my bad on the late response here. I missed the update emails.

Okay, yes this is what I'm looking for! My sniper is also a 2019 and from the parts diagram the bearing (#26) all seem to be the same. I'll PM you, If I could buy this off you I'd be much appreciative. I feel like a dummy for not checking this forum 9 days ago when you responded.

Thanks again for posting, Kyle

Hi Brex, yeah, best I can tell the pivot axel was installed from the other side. I bought the bike from intense directly as a demo bike and I'm guessing that is when it happened. Thank you for the offer for 7 and 8. I'll let you know. Much appreciated!

Kyle, I sent you a message in conversations just now. Let me know, I'll send it the next day.
