Yep, we are no-longer "selling" frames...........still building though, freak bike projects que'd and plans to turn out as many bikes as we want. If you want to ride one, give us a call anytime............if you want to have one for yourself that will be a different matter which can be arranged but your have to give into the smokey darkside first. We found that it is way more fun to build what we want when we want......it will always be about fun....

Just went to the SB website and it says as of Jan 6, 2009 , they will no longer be offering bike frames to the public??? Does anyone know why?
Know why? They realized there are folks out there even more picky than me....

I would be interested in trying to come out to Asheville sometime this spring/summer to build a frame. I've got a tubeset and sliders. I am trying to learn to build frames myself, is this something you guys would be willing to do?
PM us when you're ready to burn some steel...........:madmax:

Thanks for the update...I was starting to think that Taiwanese conglomerate mentioned was true....Good to see that you didn't sell out "to the man"...although it kinda looks like you may have sold out to the "woman" :confused ;) :)

with apologies to Hank Williams...

Kaw-liga was a wooden Black Bear standing by the door.
He fell in love with a cross dressing maiden over in the antique store.
Kaw-liga just stood there and never let it show,
So she could never answer "yes" or "no."

CHORUS:
Poor ol' Kaw-liga, he never got a kiss.
Poor ol' Kaw-liga, he don't know what he missed.
Is it any wonder that his face is red?
Kaw-liga, that poor ol' wooden head.

He always wore his overalls and held his business in his pants.
The maiden wore her purple stockings and hoped he'd wear some shants.
Kaw-liga, too stubborn to ever show a sign,
Because his heart was made of knotty pine.

Kaw-liga was a lonely Black Bear, never went nowhere.
His heart was set on the pretty maidman with the coal black hair.
Kaw-liga just stood there and never let it show,
So she could never answer "yes" or "no."

And then one day a wealthy biker smoked with the cross-dressing maid,
And took her, oh, so far away, but ol' Kaw-liga stayed.
Kaw-liga just stands there as lonely as can be,
And wishes he was still an old pine tree.
