SMBA 4th Annual Mix Up the Dirt - (10:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
The goal this year is to make this more of a one day festival. We will have mountain bike demos, BBQ lunch, scheduled group rides, mountain bike related activities, giveaways, portable toilets, etc. This event is FREE and open to members and non-members alike. Attendees must have a helmet, water (hydration pack or water bottle) and mountain bike to take part in any of our group rides. Bring sunscreen if you need it and Mosquitoes are out so bug spray is a good idea too.

We will have bike demos from Jamis and Specialized courtesy of Elevate Cycles and Blue Sky Bicycles respectively.

Ski Market of Latham has donated a Raleigh mountain bike to SMBA to raffle off at this event. SMBA would like to extend our gratitude to Ruth Strothers and Ski Market of Latham for their generous donation and their support of SMBA. We hope you support them too by stopping in and taking advantage of their current promotions (see the calendar).

Team LUNA Chix NY Mountain Bike will be leading a women's only, all abilities ride at 10:30am and a co-ed intermediate ride at 1:15pm. Please bring your own water, we'll provide some LUNA Bars for riders and, as with all of our rides, helmets and mountain bikes are required.

Parking Information
We encourage all attendees to park in town and bike to the trails. Parking at the intersection of Clinton and Daniels is limited and inadequate. Parking in the clearing and along the access road will not be available. To see a map of all free parking areas and public restrooms available in downtown Saratoga Springs click here.

We were able to get special permission form Skidmore to use their campus parking also, which is closer to the trails. When entering the Skidmore campus from the Clinton Ave. entrance, take a right and then the first left (across from the field house). The first two parking lots on the left and right are excellent parking options. Campus security asked me to relay this message...Please be advised that Skidmore College will not be held responsible for anything lost or broken while you and your vehicle are there so park at your own risk.

Directions to the Trails
  • From Broadway make a left onto Van Dam Street
  • Continue on Van Dam Street and make a right on Clinton Avenue
  • Follow Clinton Avenue until in ends at the intersection of Daniels Road
  • From this intersection follow our map shown below…
