I have a trek remedy 7, will it make a difference to the bikes lifespan if your not using it for its intended purpose as I have been doing a lot of dh on it, such as revolution bike park, and have been damaging it a lot? J I bought the bike brand new 3 months ago and have managed to have a huge ding in the rear wheel, buckle the front and have blown out the shock.

Yeah that's not the bike I'd take there. You definitely want something more burly. Doesn't have to be a DH bike but it'll last longer.
