I am offering up my custom BFD. Size small. Bought as a frame and built by my favorite LBS.
Build is better then stock. Hope, DTswiss, clownshoes ( Whoo-hoo !), dropper post.
It doesn't get used as much as I thought. I love the bike but need to move on.
Pics upon serious request. I live in Maine and would travel a short distance to make the deal, but will ship at buyer's expense.
$2400 obo.
Would consider an Ice Cream Truck or equal in trade.

Looks like the only interested buyers are from the left coast.
LBS estimated shipping to the weird coast will be about $600. Boxing/packing two oversized boxes....blah, blah, blah.
I get it. If the sale isn't local pick-up, then you gotta want it real bad.

Are you still selling the BFD? It sounds like what I'm looking for if it's still available. I am on the west/weird coast (worse, Alaska) which means that paying for shipping doesn't gall me. I'm new to mtbr so I'm not great at sending personal messages on the website, but would love to have a conversation about the bike if you still have it. Let me know!

Sorry for the delay, I still have it.
I struggle with selling/keeping it. It is such a cool bike but it just is not getting ridden enough.
If you are really interested, I'll explore the shipping situation with my LBS.
You can text/call/email....just give me a communication method.

Hi! Thanks for the response. I am still interested if we can make shipping work. The thing that makes the bike rad also makes it difficult to transport, but I think I can come up with a multitude of ways to use it effectively. Would love to chat about the bike.

nine 0 seven - three five 1 six eight 0 zero. you can call and leave a message or text.
I also just realized that you are 4 hours ahead.

Weights will be approximate- frame box....35lbs.
Wheel box 24 lbs.
Each is seat of the pants. Not ona scale.
The weight doesn't seem to change the cost much, but the length really matters. If it could be done in one box then I would have shipped it straight to AK. But If they have to come in two separate packages, then I'll have to send them to a freight forwarder in Fife, Washington (98424) and then up to AK.

I saw that shipping was about $170 for each item to go to Washington and I am OK with those costs.

The bike sounds awesome! I hope it looks awesome too! would you mind sending some pics? Either post or send to the previously given number. Thanks!

Bad news...and even badder news. The original bike box will not fit the BFD.
My LBS doesn't see a way out on finding a box big enough. They suggested calling a shipping/moving company for a custom box and shipping avenue... shipping this thing is becoming too much of a pain in the patooie.
For this reason... I am sorry to say that I cannot move forward with the sale.
I know this is a disappointment to both of us, but it is the reality of giant bikes and shipping.
I am truly sorry and hope you can find one closer to you.

Well... nuts. I am super disappointed, but I understand and I really appreciate you trying to get this sorted because it is complicated. I will say that I am still willing to pay around about $1000ish dollars to get it custom boxed and shipped to Fife, WA and I'm also willing to pay you extra for the handling, but that's just me scheming and out of options. Fed Ex can do a box that is 77"x12"x32" for $500. I would guess that the minimum dimension from the head tube to the rear wheel brace is probably about 72". I understand if you are done though, and I will remain completely jealous of you and your big bike. Thanks.
