Those product codes are rotors, not brake pads.

SM-RT56-M vs SM-RT56-S Shimano Brake Rotors
I can't find the difference between these two brake pads. Is there a difference? I don't see any delineation between the two anywhere. Thoughts?

yep, sorry. That was an accident. Rotors, not pads.
I had a quick look and concluded S is small 160mm, M is medium at 180mm and L, I guess would be 203mm?
Edit: There isn't a L/203mm size for RT56 rotors.
