SLX vs Saint levers

I'm looking to replace the levers on my first gen saint brakes, looking at both SLX and Saint levers.

Whats the main difference?? From what I can tell there is an additional "lever stroke adjust" screw on the saint.

Is the saint worth the extra $$?

Application is aggressive trail/freeride and DH.

Thanks!

that really wont work well. the newer gen brakes have different features, mainly servo wave. the amount of fluid the lever pushes is different, they brakes wont feel correct.
I've saw plenty of people using previous gen calipers with newer gen levers. I haven't heard a single complaint. I've only heard it makes them better with the servo-wave feature in the newer leavers.

Regarding the difference between SLX and Saint levers, their won't be much noticeable performance difference. The Saints have the "free stroke" adjustment, which really doesn't make too much difference. Other then that the Saints are a little better materials and a little lighter.

There might be fancy features in the master cylinder, but in the end, all it does is push oil, if the caliper pistons are of comparable area it will work just fine and I've heard of a few people doing it with good success.

Note that the m800 caliper is just a different color xt caliper :)

My bad, i guess others have gotten the mismatched sets to work. on a side note, the saints have a much larger reach adjuster knob similar to the slx levers. the XT levers have a much smaller knob.
