It might be me but it seems like the Socal forum is getting very slow, never any new posts to check out stuff...such as

Current Trail conditions and reviews
Photos
Ride reports
Group ride invites

I guess we are all to busy riding!

I have noticed the same thing. I think for So Cal more people are now going to the other site more often; the one that starts with a "S" followed by a "T" and ends in "R". I enjoy both sites for my daily bike porn. I am glad to have both.

Nice pictures Rich, every time I ride near Julian I make sure to get a pie on the way back, the problem is sometimes I don't know what I'm looking forward to, the ride or the pie.

Same here. I just have one "tab" open to MTBR, and one to the other. That other site is fun, and I've met a few people from there, but as you know, a large percentage of users are from the OC, so the chatter is more OC centric. I get down that way from time to time, but local for me is the SM's and W. Valley stuff.

Anyway, plenty of ride porn to go around, I'd just like to see more of it here!

Speaking of which, I'm heading out for a quick spin.

Ya there are other web sites out there but another issue is that there are so many sub forums on MTBR.com that some just post on the most popular ones. A very popular thread on the 29er forum is the picture Friday one. perhaps the Socal forum should have a weekly picture thread too.

Rich - great shot of that Surly!
Julian, the Surlyest town in the west!
In our group there are 4, 3 Pugsley's and 1 Karate Monkey. Two of the Pugsley's have been converted to 29ers for summer duty and the 3rd one is in the process.

Its been 3 or 4 years since I've been up to Julian, maybe a good excuse for a weekend get away (up from west Los Angeles). Now you've got my gears spinning - and if I don't get going, I'll never get a ride in! :-o
