Slopestyle 2 - changes?

Thinking about buying a SS2 to replace my 5.5 as I've seen a decent deal for a frame with DHX5.0 shock. However it's listed as a 2010 SS2.

Were there any changes to the SS2 between 2010 and 2011? This page (http://www.saltedmackerel.cc/2010/12/intense-slopestyle-2/) suggests it's got slacker and longer for 2011 - any truth to that?

Sam - it's on the Intense site - http://www.intensecycles.com/bikes/index.php?id=1&product_id=9 - 65deg HA / 24" TT on the large, etc.

I was looking at the same frame (I assume) on CRC - the geo of the 2010 appears to be 66.5deg HA / 23.5" TT, etc. I e-mailed them about it, but haven't have a reply...

Great question - i'm seriously considering an SS2 as well, so this would be great to know.

Maybe that would explain the 2010 models being offered as a sale item (as in discounted)

Part of, if not all of, the information is incorrect. All SS2's have a 65 degree head angle.

Mackerel - did you lift the numbers on your website from those at CRC?

If so, it looks to me like CRC simply haven't updated their numbers to reflect the new geometry of the SS2 - they're listing the old SS geometry by mistake. Would be good to get confirmation from the guys at Intense that nothing's changed though :thumbsup:

I think that's where they came from. I reckon you're probably right - in that case the CRC frame is a bit of a bargain...

BTW - what do people think about running a 180 fork on an SS2?

Seems a few people do and love it. Marzochhi 66 Ti would be the fork of choice
