The Vegas boys had planned a trip to gooseberry for the past month.That is me,Redmon,jmitchell and the madcap Shorty! One fellow bailed out. Living down here i guess we get used to "chance of thunderstorms" not really happening. We get up to hurricane,UT. and a storm is moving in sunday afternoon. Once we get to the dirt road that leads up to the mesa,trouble starts. Apparantly it has been raining enough here to turn the road into a sloppy mess. We gotta see what it's like though. One vehicle off the road and stuck in door deep mud and it looks like we will have a change of plans. It worked out o.k. though. We decide to go to the north side entry in springdale. Another unsuccesful attempt. So, down to the local pizza joint for beers we go to collect our thoughts. The local bike shop offered up some ideas on rideable trails. The plan. Get a room and get the beers flowing. Then get up and hit Slickrock Swamp and after that the JEM/hurricane rim trail. Here are some pics. I'm sure redmon will chime in with more details and pics. It ended up being a total blast!

Did you stop into Zion Cycles and meet Fred? If so he hooked me up with Rockville Bench last summer, great guy. He was in last years Trek catalog. Nice pics.

I forget the name of the shop but it was right next to the beer and pizza joint. The guy in the shop was real nice and the shop was awesome

Sounds like Fred's, set behind the pizza place on Main St. I was on the bench in Sept. but had too call it quits and ride back to Springdale when the temps got up to 110*, looks like you guys had nice temps.
