I may have the opportunity to buy a 08 Slayer SXC 50 frame and had a couple questions.
1- How does it ride with the RP23?
2- I will be putting a Rockshox Pike on it. Anyone else run it with a 140mm fork? How does it ride? Does it screw the geometry up?
3- Any idea how much the frame with RP23 weighs?

Thanks for the help

I've been really happy with the RP shock as it is 200gms lighter than the DHX. The mechanic at my LBS also decided that if he were building up an SXC again he'd use an RP23 instead of a DHX.

The Pike has a 518mm A2C at 140mm travel and a Fox 36 has 525mm A2C at 140mm and 545mm A2C at 160mm travel setting, so that's about 1.75 degree steeper than the 160mm fork. That puts it at about 69.75 degrees which is quite XC-ish.
