Ok so my post will not be as indepth or chronological since for most of the Shuffle I spent it in a drunken stupor. Many thanks to Davis for shuttling us, the shine, the wings, and being our "fearless leader".

I use "<P>" for a paragraph break, excluding the parenthesis. Then the "<img src=https://www.whatever.....jpg>" (again w/o parenthesis), then another "<P>".

Thanks again for punishing me one more time on Sunday before heading home. And thanks a million for *everything else*. As soon as I find some pics of nekkid Mennonite girls wearing just bonnets and smiles, I'll send 'em your way!

BTW, I think you're in line for a promotion in rank. In my book, you're definitely Major Phun.

Y'all come back and see us now, ya hear?

ok, that worked well...

A capital "P" inside of the pointy bracket thingies is the paragraph break. Then the addy of where the image is stored inside the pointy bracket thingies. Then the paragraph thing again. Hard to believe I'm not a Computer Science instructor, huh?

That's amazing......I used to know how to do it and then I read davis's instructions. I believe it actually killed brain cells.

OK the rest of the Phun version...hopefully this works. I'm not a computer person.<P>
So where did we leave off. Oh yes..West Virginia.<P>
After riding Gauley Mtn to Bear Pen to Boundary to Bannock Shoals, well the trails were a little muddy

Ok screw this message board for being so damn complicated. All I know is my dumba** can't get it to work. I don't know if that makes me dumb or on par with Davis who spent every single night tripping on these:

Yes you would think by the 2nd night Davis would remember...hmm there is a big rock there followed by three or four wooden post that are just ankle high, enough to smash you feet on or slip down the side of that rock with a beer in one hand and food in the other. But never-the-less he didn't remember. Must have been the "smoke" from the fire messing up his inner-ear balance.<P>
Moving along...the campsite was gorgeous and just the right water temp in the creek...or "CriK" if you are from the South. First pic is Tea Creek. The second was our lovely dinner of God-knows-what wrapped in tin foil

After riding the boulderfield on tea creek mtn we all decided to take a simple break and count the dents in our bikes. <P>
Second pic is the man of the ride, Rick-n-Ala. Damn I hope I'm as fast as him when I hit the big 50. He was flying along with a grin the whole shuffle, and he didn't even drink the Shine!!! I think once you hit 50, O'douls gets you drunk! Just kidding Rick, you were the strongest rider present. <P>
And another nice shot of the group before riding Props.

The highlight of our nights consisted of drinking beer and shine, eating, "other" activities, BS'n stories about Amish Porn, and oh yes how can we forget, 12 grown men standing around wathcing a charcoal lighter smoke and not get hot. If that doesn't pass for fun what does?????<P>

Second pic shows the weight weenied Stupidlight after 4 days of mud and rain and no bath. First night I cleaned her up well. Second night I focused on whatelse... drinking and then passing out by the fire.<P>

And our final pic, the saddest part of the shuffle, breaking up camp and packing the cars to return to the cess pool that is work and NJ.

So thats pretty much it. Not to many pictures but lots of memories (what I can recall at least).<P> What a great time, worth the 8 hour drive. Hopefully I will be seeing davis and Hecklerboy this fall, third week od september if I remember correctly. I've been eyeing up a Giant VT 5" trail bike I can get on the cheap which would be a little more suited for WV riding <P>.
Hecklerboy don't forget to show your sister-in-law the pics, I need a way to move to WV somehow and she is it!!!!!! We all can't have the Life O Riley.<P>
Great riding y'all. Awesome wing sauce Chili. Davis, thats for the entertainment and making me laugh for no apparent reason late at night as everyone tried to sleep.<P>
The North Carolina Crew..thats for the demo rides and the bike talk, very knowledgeable.<P> Nate you better send me a copy of your will so I can verify that I am the recepient of your Burner.<P>
Lowcel, send us all some of that chow chow sauce, damn that was good.<P> Brian, f'ing gross story award. Bikebreath still has the crap knocked out of him <P> Rick whooped all our butts. <P>
Hecklerboy, the nicest dude I rode with, now hook a brother up ! <P> thanks again to everyone. What a great time. Can't wait till next year. No really, I can't wait till next year so I'll be down in September as long as I stay smart and single, plus I need to take a certain little WV lady to dinner! And don't worry Dave, I'll make her wear a Bonnet!!!!!

made it back home

For awhile on the way home, I thought you might be able to collect a Burner. Bad weather and delays all the way home.
Thanks all it was a great time. I will get my few pictures up in the next few days. Looking forward to next year already.

6 and 6 are 18...

How did I forget to mention that wonderful bit of accounting in my recap? Do you think that's how Enron did it?

Oh well, I couldn't get up there and ride with you guys. I've been sleeping the past two days from my adventure in the Land of Enchantment, New Mexico.

Backpacked for 12 days in the wild covering about 85-90miles. It made me consider trying to pull-off the AT in coming years. Nothing like slogging a 45 pound pack over tall peaks to get you in shape... I lost over 10 pounds.

But, if you ever ride with me, be prepared for Jalapeno Squeeze Cheese. The best invention to hit the outdoor world yet!

WV ain't got nothin' on this:

That explains my checkbook errors.

If you noticed my speech was slurred too. Getting the crap beat out of ya on that trail will do that to ya.

I made it home with out incident or mishap. Had a really great time. Red Run Trail will remain my favorite trail of all times.

Thanks to Hecklerboy and Davis for keeping an eye on the old Phart at the back of the pack. Thanks to both for trail prep. Thanks for the shine, wings and mud swag. What a blast!

I'll post some pics later today.

Bb, [ ...only one more night of good sleep and I'll be recovered. ]

thanks i am eyeing up an 03 for $1500. A lbs also has a VT2 and I may try talking them into swapping some parts and giving me a price break. I'm trying to keep it under $2000 for a 5" travel trail bike.
