I'm after something like this:
HTA: 69.5
STA: 72
CS: 17" (or close)
Geared option, for long (120mm) fork
Or am I going to have to go custom?
Cheers
yah, but might whack out the BB heightshiggy said:A 71/73 or 72/74 frame designed for a 80mm fork would be close with a 120mm fork installed
True, but for the cost you could afford to shop around on customs.fiddlr40 said:The EWR OWB 29er is about 70.5 with a 100mm fork. Put a 120 on and you'd probably get 69.5
Not really a factor with the long travel fork. The Squeaky Wheel said:yah, but might whack out the BB height
yep, it would whack out the BB height. And normally those frames simply aren't constructed to handle a long fork's stresses (hence voiding the warranty). The Squeaky Wheel said:yah, but might whack out the BB height
As Shiggy noted: Throw a 120 fork on a Monkey and go have fun.bonesetter2004 said:Are there any off the shelf steel frame options?

Can't wait to eventually get mine!!!
I like the look of the Simon Bar too. But it's listed as 71.5 HTA and that's not quite slacked out enough for what I was after. However it doesn't list what fork thet figure is withMike Brown said:SINISTER.
Again, not steel, but one sweet ride.
If somebody would like to buy me a frame, it's #1 on my list. PM me if interested.
hah-hah.
Yup, allegedly so. The seat- and chainstays feature "shock block" and are ribbed: http://www.bansheebikes.com/technical.html (you have to scroll down to see the relevant description).bonesetter2004 said:The seat stays are bent, and there is no brace inbetween them at the top. Is this to give some rear triangle compliance?
They designed that back when forks had the old offset - I'm sure if you ordered one you could get it how you wanted it. Hell the "stock geometry" may already be different anyway.bonesetter2004 said:I like the look of the Simon Bar too.
