Cruised down for a quickie McKenzie River Trail campout. Settled in at Trail Bridge Campground about halfway on the trail 3 miles south of the Blue Pool.
Trail clear except for a few snow patches which should be melted out soon, and one blowdown.
The trail is very challenging and fun to climb, you don't notice how much lava rock is there until you ride UP the trail. Koosah is really impressive right now with the incredible volume of water rushing down the falls.
The next day did a King *Castle* Rock run where the trail was in prime shape. View from atop Castle Rock is limited due to Norcal fire haziness.
Grabbed a McKenzie "Monster" burger on the way out in Vida, and it was good, but i swear the waitress was cluckin out somethin fierce.
Often hyped, yet certainly the MRT area is so worthy of riding. Get a map and hit it.
