I got it back last night, and woke up at 4:30 this morning to put it together. I can't see putting any more money into this project. This is as far as it goes. She weighs a hair over 22.5 pounds the way she sits, and the way she'll be ridden most of the time. I told P2 Customs to surprise me (to some degree) with the paint job. I think it looks great. I'll try to get some better shots outside so you can see it shine. Yes, this is (or was) a Zion 737.
Although this bike was "Made in Taiwan" it certainly has some "good ol' boy" flavor now. Some of the modifications were done next to a pile of parts destined to end up on a NASCAR track near you (if you live near a NASCAR track).

A little rear end action.

BB macro porn.

My Viking fjork.

Close-up on the fjork.

The whole reason this project started, the beautiful cable routing made possible by Jerry and Cheech.

And the big shitty indoor shot with poor lighting and shoddy camera skills.

Nice Work!

That looks really nice! I couldn't imagine a better match for the color.
You've done a great job turning that bike into a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

That thing is HAAAAwwwwT! So, are the wheels really THAT good??? I'm dying to get a set but I have the same Bonty hoops on King hubs that I haven't even ridden yet and really can't justify something else!

Request.

Could you give a tight close up of one of those cable guides? Thanks.

Nice paint BTW. Is that wet or powder?

I love this....I am hoping to get my project back from paint today...I have a Karate Monkey project going that is VERY similar to what you have done here. I have spent a decent amount of money, and dressed it up more than most would. I figure I could replace the frame, but nothing I have ridden speaks to me like the Monkey, and I am not too wrapped up in weight (mine will be somewhere just over 26 lbs).

I'm messengering on it today, and I brought my camera so I could get some pics in the sunlight. The lighting in my workroom sucks. I'll be sure to snag a close-up.

If you already have Kings it would be hard to just pitch them, but yes, they are all that and a bag of chips. So stiff, so easy to work on, so pretty, so fast just sitting still...

Was it done over at Joe Gibb's? I've got a buddy that works over there!

Nice! Woulda been super cool if they did that fade on the rear dropouts too!

Do you know what the dark silverish paint color is called??

Very fast looking bike.

When it goes back for decals I might ask about that.

It's from a Honda Odyssey. Yes, I'm riding a mini-van.
