Sorry, those holes are rack/fender mounts not disc brake. If you want disc brakes, try an A2Z adapter if you really want disc brakes in the back. . If you're running V's, try converting the front brakes to disc and leave the V's on the rear. A large portion of braking power is from the front anyways.
I haven't heard of Sintesi since the late 90's Do you got a pic of the whole bike?

I stand corrected! Looks like the adapter from Sintesi will work much better than the A2Z one. Best check with your local Sintesi dealer, they can probably get it for you.
Nice bike Filipe, it's an interesting four bar design. Don't see those in the US. Good luck converting to disc.

Thanks commo_soulja,

I've tried the sintesi dealer and looks like they dont have the adapter anymore, not even the measurements.
However, he told he could get me a 30% discount in a new frame :D lol

The thing is i really want to convert to disc at the rear, coz when its wet the mudd stuffs in the brake and obstructs the wheel, not to talk about the braking power.

Was really hoping anyone here could give me a hint about this kind of adapter.

I suppose you could get one fabricated, starting from the measurements that you have on the bike and whatever the measurements are for an IS mount.

Thanks norton05,

Perttime,
Thats what i'll try to do if i really cant find the original. I sent a mail to all sintesi distributors around the world and now im waiting for their replies.

My problem in doing it myself is, how am i supose to know were to put the holes for the caliper, i mean, the holes to fit the frame its ok, the distance between the caliper screws its ok too, but how high does it need to be to fit the caliper in place with the disc?.
Dont know if you understand what i mean.

The standard for the mounts has to be available somewhere, but I did not manage to find it...

- try measuring the bolt locations on a bike that has the mounts?
OR
- make a template using some easy material (thin plywood, plastic, cardboard, ...): put a disc on the hub, mount the template on your frame, take your calliper and see where the holes need to be.

(easier said than done, but it should be possible)

Hello,

(easier said than done, but it should be possible)
exactly.

Thats why thats last option for me. I mean, we're talking about a disc brake, i guess if the adapter is not perfect i'll have problems.
And theres another measurement, the thickness of the piece.
I'll try to find the original piece or the correct measurements, if i dont then i'll do it, theres no mud now and its been really hot to ride, so... still have a few months to get it done.

I'll continue the search :madman:
If someone finds anything it would be much appreciated,
Thank you all for your help

Hi. New member on this forum and I found this thread because I try to convert my Sintesi Fuego -00
to discbrakes. I have the same mount on the frame as the above shown Python and I cant find the right Sintesi adaptor. I just ordered a a2z adaptor and I will use it if it fits but it would be more fun to use the right one. So the question is : does anybody have one?does anybody know where to find one???
